Department Metrics

The Department Metrics dashboard provides a summary of your department’s issue and action plan activity. It brings key performance metrics together in one view so you can track changes, monitor data quality, and review trends over time.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Cards

These metrics show how issue and action plan records are being managed within the current month.

  • Issue Changes this Month – The total number of issue records created or triaged during the month.
  • Action Plan Changes this Month – The number of action plan records created or updated in the current month.
  • Issue Record Quality – The percentage of issue records that meet data quality standards (having review dates and associated action plans).
  • Action Plan Record Quality – The percentage of action plans that meet required data quality criteria ( with review dates and associated tasks).

Record quality color coding is based on the following:

  • Green:  81+%: Good
  • Orange:  51-80%: Warning
  • Red:  0-50%: Danger

Note:  Deferred items are included in dashboard KPI card metric for record quality w review dates only.

Issue Changes over the Last 12 Months Graph

This time series graph shows how issue activity has varied over the last 12 months.
It includes trends for:

  • Created
  • In Triage
  • In Progress
  • Deferred
  • Closed
  • Closed (Pending Approval)

The graph helps identify patterns month-by-month in issue volume and progress, such as increases in closure rates or changes in new issue creation. It is updated daily and starts on day 1 of the month.
